Coleus are grown for their beautiful foliage and are usually treated as an annual in the US. but they are actually a tender perennial. Since they don't depend on flowers for color, Coleus will brighten your garden or patio all summer long! Coleus are all we sell, so you can be sure that the utmost care is taken to give our Coleus exactly what they need to thrive! Our unique growing method allows us to provide a sturdy starter plant with a well-formed root system using a minimum amount of growing medium. This allows us to keep shipping costs down and pass the savings along to our customers. Rosy Dawn Gardens is open for the 2008 season! We are now taking orders for delivery in Spring 2008. Rosy Dawn Gardens is a family owned business located in beautiful southeastern Michigan, and it was born of our desire to create a business that is an extension of our passion for gardening. Glenn and I have many years of experience in business, commercial horticulture, and home gardening. We have been collecting and growing container plants for many years, as well as growing every kind of perennial, fruit, and vegetable imaginable. We were gardening long before gardening was cool!
Rosy Dawn Dairy farm was my grandparent's dairy farm in western Michigan. Ervin and Frances Price raised seven children and worked the farm until they retired in the late 1950's. We don't have their acreage but we do have their work ethic. Naming our business Rosy Dawn Gardens is part of our commitment to work hard to produce and ship the finest plants available today.
We want to thank our children, grandchildren, and friends for their patience and support when we literally drop out of site from January until June every year during our growing and shipping season. We especially want to thank those of you who roll up your sleeves and help during the April/May shipping crunch. We love and appreciate you all!
