ALL THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY
Placing an Order Online:
Make your selections from our
Coleus Catalog and enter them into our secure
online
Order Form. Make sure that you have
completely and correctly filled out the customer
information. Adding the total of your order is optional,
however something must be put in the Grand Total field
(even if it is a guess) or the form will not submit. We
are happy to total your order for you and you will see
that correct total in your email confirmation.
Immediately after submitting your form a copy of your
order will appear on your screen. You may save or print
this for your records if you wish.
We do not have an automated email confirmation program,
so you will not receive an immediate email
confirmation of your order. After we receive your order
and create an invoice, a copy of the invoice will be
emailed to you. You usually receive your invoice within
24 hours but it may take up to 3 days. No confidential
credit card information is contained on this invoice.
Please Note: Your invoice will be in the form of a .pdf
file and requires that Adobe Reader be installed on your
computer in order to view it. Most computers already
have this program but if yours does not you can download
it for free from
www.adobe.com. At your
request we can send your invoice as a .jpeg attachment
or send it to you by U.S. mail.

Other Ordering Options:
We can also accept orders via e-mail, fax, and U.S. Mail. You may print
out our
order form and mail or fax it to us.
If you prefer not to use the order form, you may send your order in any of the
above ways, but please include your name, address, telephone number,
e-mail address, requested ship date, check/money order
or credit card information (see below), the list of
plants that you want to order, and a list of acceptable
substitutions. You will receive your invoice by email
unless you request it be sent by U.S. Mail or fax.
Sorry, but we
do not offer an online shopping cart - watch for this feature next year!. We do not have a retail storefront,
and cannot offer on-site sales or pick-up to local customers.
Our catalog is online only. We do not have a print
catalog.
Payment Options: We accept Visa, MasterCard,
American Express, Discover,
personal checks, and money orders. Payment information is required with the order, but
credit cards will not be charged until the order is shipped. Online orders
may be paid by check or money order but the payment
should be mailed when the order is placed to avoid delay
in processing your order. Postal mail orders must be
accompanied by credit card information, check, or money
order.
Handling Charges: Shipping costs are included in the price of each plant. Handling and packaging charges are $10.00 per order and are
non-refundable.
There is no handling charge for Gift Certificates.
There is no minimum order required but the $10.00 handling charge will apply
regardless of how few or how many are ordered.
Michigan residents add 6% sales tax.
U.S. orders only, please.
Wholesale Orders:
We are a small, family-run
operation, and we are not equipped to supply customers with wholesale
orders. We serve home gardeners and plant collectors that want a large
selection of reasonably priced individual plants from which to choose.

Order Form
Substitutions: We always try to maintain
sufficient stock of all varieties, but some items may occasionally be in short
supply. Please include a list of acceptable substitutions with your order.
In the event we are out of stock on an item, we will pick from your list of
substitutions. If no substitutions are specified we will choose a plant
for you that is as similar as possible in size and color to the plant you
ordered. If you would prefer a refund rather than a substitution, please
specify that when placing your order. Credit card orders will not be
charged until the order is shipped.
Shipping Dates:
We ship on Saturday, Monday or Tuesday of each
week of the shipping season, with exceptions for postal holidays.
Please request a shipping date on your order. We will
try to meet your chosen date, but your requested
shipping date may be delayed if your plants are not
mature enough to ship or if weather prohibits shipping. If no date is specified on your order
form, we will send your order after the frost free date for your zone. You will be
notified by email when your order ships.
Please order at any time, as we are happy to hold your plants until your requested ship date
or until weather permits shipping. Please
consider vacations, etc. when requesting your ship date. If you cannot be
home when your plants arrive please arrange for someone to watch for your plants
or instruct the mail carrier as to a safe place to place
the box until you arrive.
Our shipping season begins the last week of March,
weather permitting. We reserve the right to
use our discretion when deciding if it is safe to ship
Coleus, and we consider the weather both at departure
and arrival when making this determination. It is absolutely crucial for the
survival of cold-sensitive Coleus to wait until the weather is safe.
We will delay shipping when
weather of any kind (hot, cold, hurricane) could threaten the safety of your
plants at any point during the shipping process. Please keep in mind that
our greenhouse operation is in Michigan, so no matter
how warm it is where you live, in March and sometimes
beyond we are often under several inches of snow and
experiencing freezing temperatures.
Our shipping
season ends June 2, 2008, when we shut down our
operation until December 1, 2008. Orders placed after
June 2, 2008 will be held for shipping in spring of
2009.
Please Order Early! Early ordering will be your best bet for
receiving everything you want. Early orders will be
held in reserve, but orders placed late in the season
will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Certain varieties
may sell out early, and later orders may have to be
delayed
until new stock is mature and ready to ship. You may add to your
order up to the day of shipping! Please email us for availability of your add-on plants,
as some varieties may be out of stock as the shipping
season comes to a close. In early June we clear out our
remaining stock and close our greenhouse operation for
the year.
How We Ship Your Order: Your plants will be
individually labeled, bagged, protected in a cardboard sleeve, and carefully
packed in a cardboard shipping box.
We use USPS Priority Mail for mailing all live plants.
We find US Priority Mail to be the most economical way to ship from this area,
and we have based our prices accordingly. If a customer requests UPS a $10.00
surcharge will apply. Orders will be mailed on Saturday, Monday or Tuesday to assure safe arrival before the
next
weekend.
Plants will be shipped when weather permits in Michigan, usually
beginning in late March through the first weekend in June.
When Your Plants Arrive:
Your plants will be carefully packed to assure their arrival in the best
possible condition. We guarantee replacement of plants damaged during shipping
and up to the point of delivery to the address specified
on your order form. Unpack your plants immediately and read the enclosed
instructions and follow them closely. Please notify us immediately of
any problems noticed upon
arrival. Please notify us if you have not received your plants within four
days of the shipping notice.
Rosy Dawn Gardens is not responsible for any damage to plants after they have
arrived at your home in good condition. Damage to your plants or dissatisfaction
with your order must be reported within 72 hours of
delivery to your home or post office. Rosy Dawn Gardens
is not responsible for damage or dissatisfaction reported beyond 72 hours
after receipt.
This includes:
Damage caused by the shipping box being subjected to
sun or cold temperatures after delivery.
Damage due to delays caused by supplying Rosy Dawn
Gardens with the wrong mailing address.
Damage caused by not promptly picking up packages held
at the post office.
Damage caused by
not promptly unpacking, watering, and planting
newly-arrived coleus.
Damage caused by plants being allowed to dry out before
or after planting in their permanent containers or
garden bed.
Plant death or damage due to circumstances occurring
after safe delivery and beyond the control of Rosy Dawn
Gardens. This includes cold temperatures, hot
temperatures, frost, dehydration (drying out),
intentional or accidental neglect, animal damage,
animals eating plants, animals urinating on plants,
animals uprooting plants, wind, too much sun or shade,
over-watering, over-fertilizing, poor site placement,
crushing, driving on plants, theft, herbicides,
vandalism, active and inquisitive children, drunken
neighbors, not checking the "other" porch for your
package, never actually planting your coleus in soil,
and any other condition that Rosy Dawn Gardens cannot
possibly control once your coleus arrive at your home.
Please Note:
Your new coleus have spent their whole
life in a greenhouse, so please water your new plants, plant them in soil, and keep them in a warm
area protected from direct wind and sun until they have hardened off. The
plants we sell are sensitive to cold, and should not be planted
outdoors until after danger of frost and average overnight lows are at least 60 degrees.

Gift Certificates:
Please fill out the secure
Gift Certificate Order Form
completely. Depending on which option you choose, we
will send you or the designated recipient a handsome
numbered gift certificate as an email attachment or by
mail. You (the buyer) will receive an order confirmation
and payment invoice by email. The certificate will be emailed or
mailed by the next working day. There is no shipping or
handling charge for Gift Certificates. Gift Certificates
are redeemed by entering the Gift Certificate Number and
the amount to be redeemed into the proper fields in the
Order
Form before submitting the order.
Instructions on how to redeem the gift certificate are
delivered with the certificate.
Gift Certificate Conditions of Use:
- Gift Certificates must be
redeemed online at
www.rosydawngardens.com or by mail. Rosy Dawn
Gardens has no print catalog. Orders must be placed
through the rosydawngardens.com secure online order
form or by printing out and completing the order
form and sending it with payment by mail to Rosy
Dawn Gardens, 58320 12 Mile Rd., New Hudson, MI
48165.
- Gift Certificates may be used
to purchase merchandise and for shipping/handling
charges.
- Gift Certificates are not
redeemable for cash and may not be returned for a
cash refund.
- Cash refunds will not be given
on unused portions of the gift certificate. Any
unused balance will remain in the gift certificate
account.
- If your order exceeds the
amount of your gift certificate the balance of the
bill must be paid by credit card, check, or money
order at time of purchase.

responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.
The risk of loss and title for
gift certificates pass to the purchaser upon our
electronic transmission to the recipient or delivery
to the mail carrier, whichever is applicable.
- All terms and conditions are
applicable to the extent permitted by law.
- Cash value of the gift
certificate is 1/10 of one cent.
